Sæluhús Cottages

The cottages are located in the North of Iceland, retaining the open countryside atmosphere yet still conveniently situated on the outskirts of the town Akureyri. Akureyri is a superb base for exploring the north of Iceland. This part of the country is full of extraordinary contrasts with deep fjords, high mountains, thriving farms and deserted highland.
Useful information:
Cottages (78 m2) can accommodate up to 7 people in three bedrooms. One bedroom has a double-bed, the second bedroom has a double-bed and a single bunk-bed above, the third bedroom has two single beds.
Equipment:
The cottages have a fully equipped kitchen with Electric stove and oven, refrigerator and freezer, a dishwasher, a microwave oven, crockery and cooking utensils. WC and Shower. High speed internet connection. TV and DVD. Radio with CD player. Barbeque by each house. 
Washing machine and dryer. Private hot tub on the porch of each house.
Included:
Bed linen and towels once delivered at the beginning of stay. Cleaning of cottage after rental.

Akureyri
In Akureyri one can find numerous museums, a beautiful botanical garden and many nice cafés, restaurants and shops. The highlights of the north are
within an easy reach. Goðafoss waterfall could be the first stop on to the classical Lake Mývatn area. The natural wonders of Lake Mývatn area include fantastic lava formations of Dimmuborgir, the volcanic area of Krafla, and the pseudo craters of Skútustaðir. The National Park of Jökulsárglúfur with the impressive horseshoe-shaped Ásbyrgi canyon and Dettifoss waterfall, the mightiest waterfall in Europe can be visited in a day. Alternatively one can head towards Siglufjörður village and Skagafjorður area famous for horse breeding and river rafting. Flights to the Arctic Circle on Grímsey island are available from Akureyri airport.
